  Mr. John Nakashima president of Nakashima Golf dropped into Hong Kong for a two day visit before moving on to the region for further product development. John together with Gary Nakashima a Master Club builder and head of product development spent time with our local Master Mr. Victor Cheung to explain the recent addition of SST Pure shaft analysis and alignment system to the already renowned Nakashima Golf fitting and manufacturing process.

  Just a little more than a year ago on January 1, 2008 USGA changed the way we play golf dramatically. Their change of rules on equipment allowed adjustable clubs to be used in tournament play.   A new addition to our Nakashima Golf Fitting System, the Oban Devotion is making waves in the industry.
  Oban, a relatively new comer to the shaft manufacturing world hit it big time when in 2007 was fortunate to have the great Tiger Woods testing their shafts. I also am lead to believe that Jim Furyk uses Oban shafts in one of his fairway woods.

• Nakashima Golf goes SST Pure

  
  

  The fact is, no shaft is perfectly round, straight or stiff throughout its length. Despite modern manufacturing techniques every golf shaft, whether steel or composite, remains as unique as a fingerprint and cannot be fully analyzed until after the shaft has been manufactured.
  The PPOP, or principal planar oscillation plane, is the plane of assembly in which the shaft is the most stable when striking the ball.
